Change plex account on new server install -- wrong email used

I have my plex server running on freenas. Been running great for several years. My 60TB server though is full. The computer is a superMicro Server with two nodes. This resides on one node.

The second node I just installed freenas on for adding another 60tb. But was going to stay to the single instance of plex.

However, I screwed up my permission on my plex server some how, and struggling. I’m not good at unix… So decided to put my plex on a windows server instead.

Loaded plex, but when I went to login I type the wrong email address, how do I get it so that I can change my plex account? I have a lifetime pass, but currently doesn’t recognize it? I uninstalled, and thought that would fix, but didn’t–

GOAL: to get this new installation configured to use my main plex account.

D

  1. go to Settings > Server > General
  2. click Sign Out next to “Server signed in as …” at the top of that page
  3. sign your Plex Media Server in to the different Plex account / claim it with your actual Plex account (see https://support.plex.tv/articles/200878643-sign-in-to-your-plex-account/#toc-0)
