Changed password and now I can't claim or find the server

Player Version#:9.7.0.34811

As with most people, I changed my password after the breach and forced all accounts to sign out. After that I could not claim my server, it would always say the server was unavailable. After rebooting several times, and attempting to connect it several times I removed the server from my account and reinstalled PMS and Plex player on my shield. The server still refuses to start in the settings on the shield and it still cannot be reclaimed. I can see it when I use http://[ip_of_shield]:32400/web/ to reach it, but it still says unavailable.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

According to http://[ip_of_shield]:32400/identity it’s claimed. I don’t know why it can’t connect, still shows as unavailable and not able to start it from the shield.

I went through the claiming process as well and now i cannot connect remotely. i have checked all ports etc and everything is in order. I can’t connect from my mobile app outside of my network, any ideas superiorboy?

Also have issues after password reset :(.

I cant seem to access my media. PMS is installed on a proxmox container, but after the password reset cannot access.

I ended up getting it working by disabling the passthrough on my router for the shield and reallocating an IP to the shield. So, I’ll have to set the remote access back up.

I think removing the remote access might be all I needed to do instead of a reinstall, but it could have been both combined are the solution.

Also, I found firefox would have issues with the local instance of plex, and using Edge worked better.

It seems like this operation of changing passwords are affecting most of the Plex-Pass users. I have had the same issue with my PMS on Macmini after i changed the Password, as asked by the team. I think it’s a general issue and Plex Team must consider this problem with high priority and let us informed as soon as it’s resolved. My holidays are corrupted, because my children can’t access to their library anymore. Sorry kids! :wink: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

I’ve got a shield with the same issue and am not a networking expert.

I can’t claim my server. Tried every option I could find on these forums (that I could handle. Nothing complicated).

Do you think you really had to uninstall everything first? Can you explain how to turn the passthrough off on the shield on your network?

First the shield/android issue earlier this year and now this. Very frustrated.

Superboy, you have not explained what you did, can you show the steps so we can try the same thing on our server.

I am having a similar issue. I have PLEX enabled on my server. When I sign into my PLEX account and go to your media there is nothing there. The only option it gives me is to download PLEX server. My previously mapped folders are not there nor can I re-map them.
