Reset Password as instructed. Now my servers on both my Nvidia Shields are “unavailable”. Signed in thru the web & linked both devices. Opened the Plex app, settings, both are “stopped” & selecting “start” does not work. My options are: try again (no luck) where is my server? & remove server. If I select “remove server” & try to add it back in will I lose all my current library info?
As a Lifetime Pass member I’m really disappointed in this snafu.
Please provide a solution!
As per Plex forum from Aug 2022: After some time, navigating to http://172.16.1.179:32400/web showed the server as unclaimed, as described in other posts. Once claiming was available, that process went smoothly, and all is resolved now.
I used that info by looking up the ip address in the shield settings & once I claimed the server I was able to go into the plex settings on the web app & “Start Server” & problem was solved. For any clients then you have to follow the onscreen instructions to link each device. It sucks that instructions weren’t provided for this in the reset password e-mail.
