Changed plex account now cannot see my NAS (Synology)

Hi apologies if this is an extremely easy one but no idea how to do it…
I had a pay monthly plex account for quite a while and went for the lifetime discount option but could only do so by starting a new account. When I log-out of my monthly and into my lifetime it just keeps searching for my server and suggests I download PMS. this is already sitting on my NAS so a bit confused. As mentioned sorry if I am missing something obvious.

Many thanks in advance
Les

You have only switched accounts in your web browser.
Before you do that, you need to sign out your server from its current plex.tv account.

So, for now, go back into your old plex account. (I hope you haven’t deleted it yet)
Then go into the server settings and sign out the server.

Only after that, change the plex account of your web browser
web_sign_out

After a while, the web app will inform you of an ‘unclaimed’ server in your local network. Claim it.

Ifyou have already deleted your old plex account, you will have to perform this procedure (which can be tricky on a NAS):

That’s brilliant…thank you.
Have switched over successfully and just noticed my ipad will not allow sync…
It is saying Another user has synced content, which is obviously my old account. How can I flush that out and start again?

Many thanks
Les

I’d delete all app data (in the iOS settings), or if that doesn’t work, delete the app and reinstall it.

again thankyou, all sorted :slightly_smiling_face:
