Can't Access Plex Media Server on Synology NAS after changing Plex account password

Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685.7200.9685
Player Version#:
Hi,
I can’t access my Plex Media server after changing my Plex account password. I’m using a Synology NAS D420+ with DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 3.
I had to change password after hacking suspucion and now after desinstalling, resinstalling multiple times Plex package, trying to reclaim server, nothing works. It seems there are some appdata on the NAS I can’t access and couldn’t find the way on the forums. I would like to remove it completly and restart config from scratch.
Is there any way?

Thanks for your help if somebody can help

Changing your password unclaims the server. You just need to reclaim it.

Point a web browser at the IP address of the NAS. See if you can login & claim the server. For example, if the IP address is 10.1.2.3, use http://10.1.2.3:32400/web.

If that does not work: FAQ 31: Reset / Reclaim PMS on DSM 7 (Not Authorized - Locked Out).

I did this initially but didn’t work and I’m afraid I made mistakes after as I wanted to start from scratch again.
On Plex Account I removed server as authorized device and then on the synology removed all Plex files I could see but it seems there hidden ones I cannot access with the file station.
So now I guess, I am with a plex account not linked to a plex server and a NAS that has hidden registred info of a Plex server. and so it clash

Finally worked thanks to your FAQ 32: Repairing the PlexMediaServer shared folder
Many thanks for your help

Glad you’re back in business. :slightly_smiling_face:
