Changed my email address that was associated to my plex media server. Which updated, but when logged into my server was showing my old emaill address, so i signed out typed my new email address. Now my plex media server has gone, its asking to install plex media server which is already installed. So im a bit annoyed now as i had quite a lot of content on my server. What do i do now start all over again? I also have a lifetime pass which luckily has been saved.
Also received a link to revert back to my old address within 7 days which was sent yesterday on the 16th even that links expired as well. So i’m a bit stuck. If i create a new account i will lose my plex lifetime pass that is associated with this account. Is it possible to transfer my pass to a new account as long as i pass security questions as i dont think this existing account is going to work, ive reinstalled plex media server still cant find my server. So its really messed up.

whatever email you used to sign into these forums still has your plex pass.
you should use the same to log into your server.
I have never changed my email, so don’t know if there is a proper procedure, but personally I would have left my server email alone until it said you needed to log in again.
there is probably some kind of propagation delay between systems, so just jumping around and doing a bunch of different things potentially confused matters.
Thank you for the reply, somethings been definitely messed up i cant get back into my original email. So ive setup a new one. The problem is now i cant use my lifetime pass as it was associated with my other email which i cant login to anymore. So is there any option to transfer the lifetime pass over to my new account. I can verify the old email etc and new email with credentials if necessary. Ill never change my email ever again with this happening.
really you should stop.
plex pass are not transferable
at this point you will probably need to go the main plex page and choose contact billing
they would have to delete your non-plex pass email accounts registered, then change the email of the account with the plexpass, to the email account you desire.
there is unlikely anyone here in the forum with this access to fix it for you now.

I have now got my lifetime plex pass associated with my updated email, but it still doesnt find my server after logging in. Ive sent an email explaining this to billing. As you say there may be some deleting required on the plex server to rectify this problem. Thanks again for putting me in the right direction regarding this.
when you say logged in, have you logged the server into the correct account?
you may have to go directly to your internal server ip
like 192.168.x.x:32400/manage/
I have resolved the issue, Everything is now how it should be. I deleted all the registry entries for plex on my laptop. My registry was corrupted after numerous attempts to login. This allowed me to create a new server with the correct login details. I now have my server and have my lifetime pass fully working.
