Channel/client for Wii?

Another vote for a wii app.

Count my vote too. this would be great in the kids room

Or even better, get Plex for WII U - with the remote control I sense awesomeness happening

Another vote - great way to use the WII. Would gladly pay for the app.

Yes please… Plex on the wii.

Ditto on the Plex Channel for Wii (or some homebrew version). I don’t care if my server has to transcode down to 480.

In other news, Wii just got Amazon Instant Video (w/ Prime) as an official channel.

I’m just one channel short from this being the best media streamer ever – for my kids anyway

Me too.

I vote for a plex channel too.

Vote me in.

I recently read an article on how to use Plex on the AppleTV without jail breaking it. It is done on the server side using the Apple trailers functionality built in to the ATV. The router server is likely spoofing the DNS request from the ATV and returning Plex data instead of allowing Apple trailers data through.

All this to say, maybe the same thing could be done for the wii with the Netflix app. Have a plug-in for your Plex server and redirect Netflix requests from DNS to it. Of course, that would ruin Netflix on all your other local network devices too. Like your PS3 and XBox and smart TV’s. Hey, wait a minute…

Yes please. The Wii is a perfect target for Plex. Plex can transcode down to the Wii's target with ease.

Download WIIMC media player tru homebrew channel…open the script=> Go to options then select Online Media… There u got Navi-X and more…I know its Not like PLEX,PlayOn OR XBMC… But its a good start for now.

I bet my son would like Plex on the Wii.

We also have a WiiU, which has been a dud as a game console, but works very nicely now on our main tv (Netflix, Amazon and Hulu channels).  Plex would be great on that thing.

A little old, but seeing as how this still gets activity every few months...

WiiMC on the homebrew channel gives you access to a SMB share. It works for sending videos from your server to the wii.
