When someone with a Roku is transcoding a live TV channel and someone with an Android device like the Nvidia Shield tries to watch the same channel (max resolution direct stream) it causes stability issues. The user that’s on the Nvidia Shield is prompted with watch live or watch from X minutes ago. When selecting watch live it will either freeze or play for about 10 minutes and then freeze as it doesn’t register on the server as watching the channel. When selecting watch from X minutes ago it generally will pull up live TV. If it doesn’t pull up live TV then it will start you from whatever the timestamp was but you can’t fast forward. This only happens when a Roku user is transcoding the same channel.
Using latest public Windows 10 server. Using latest public builds for both client devices. Using five hdhomerun Primes and two hdhomerun connect. Wired or Wireless doesn’t make a difference same results. Same thing with remote stream versus local stream same issue. Ongoing issue for months now.
Is there a way to disable Channel duplication as I have enough Prime’s?
