I am between cities and we have an antenna that picks up stations from both Eugene and Portland (Oregon). When I set up the tuner, the stations do not match correctly.

The information was determined by comparing the TV Tuner’s software channel lineup with the Plex tuner lineup.

I have 4 kinds of problems.

(1) Channel found, but no corresponding EPG to select: 2.4 Stadium, 17.2 Weather, 23.1 KEVU-HD, 27.1 KSLM and 28.4 OPB-FM.

(2) Channel labeled incorrectly: 23.2 labeled as DABL but should be KEVU-HD

(3) My tuner doesn’t get listed channels: 32.1, 49.2, 49.3, 49.4

(4) Tuner is missing channels I do get: 38.1, 38.2, 38.3

I saw the link to report EPG errors … but I have 14 errors (and you have to fill out the form for each one separately) and you have to provide a link to the source of the information. Since this data is coming directly from my tuner, I can’t answer that question.

Is there any way to fix the channels? And if so how? (Please talk as if I’m an idiot … because I’m old and I have CRS.)

  1. Sounds like you live between to major markets. You will have to delete the DVR and start over. This time use two different zip codes to represent the broadcast areas for the different lineups. Plex doesn’t do radio stations so you can exclude those.

  2. You would only fill out the EPG errors spread sheet for missing or mislabeled stations. Using titantv.com to verify your lineups.

  3. It is ok to ignore stations that show up in EPG but can not be tuned in.

  4. Might need to clarify this, but in general tuner cards are not as capable as TV’s so you may not be able to lock onto some stations without a different antenna or changing the direction.

  1. Did not solve the problem. Still missing 3 channels.
  2. Even if I eliminate the 1 FM channel, there are still 5 channels mislabeled.
  3. These are channels I can tune in but can NOT select to match up with EPG ( eg. 38.1, 38.2, 38.3).
  4. The tuner card was set up using TitanTV and it has been correct for years. The channels I listed are in fact the ones I can tune in using the tuner.
