Hi,
is there a better way to assign channels to EPG. Plex finds about 1500 Channels from my SAT Tuner. I cannot Sort oder change the size of the channel window. The channel names are not exactly the same as the EPG channel names, so i don’t know exactly what to choose, Even worse if i choose accidentally two channel with the same EPG-channel, plex complaining about it and don’t let me save the list without saying what channel caused the problem. With 1500 unsorted channels it is hard to find the problem.
My region is Germany with the Telekom EPG.

Hi,
I have to add to this one, it is really painful right now in the UI. Also, the provided lists with the abbreviations and numbers to not always match reality.
In my case it is Unitymedia and the whole channelnumbering that Gracenote provides in their databases is not uptodate or simply wrong.
From my current understanding there is some light logic implemented, but it is very often producing a false or a missing match. A lookup table, even an external link, which 3-10 Character code means what channel in its clear name would be very, very useful.
@keithah and @kinoCharlino Are there plans to provide an expert mapping UI or at least some search boxes and advanced sorting and filtering?
Cheers

So so true. Ive been struggling with it big time. Only just realised after several failed recordings how crude this thing is! There are tons of channels listed for the same channel. You cannot even see the frequencies to double check WHAT they are! I realised today, oddly enough, itv3 is played in my client fine. I then try to record and it fails! I then try it on my server machine and I get doughnut of death! This fundamental feature is the key to unlocking freesat for many users on plex! I want to be a cord cutter but with present setup… no way. My wife would go mad! Its really hard because u have to investigate failed recordings as the channel names are not even obvious on plex’s version of EPG! I know I know. Its not officially supported yet… I just wish I had the time to play about with it and see if I could get this friggin thing to work properly.
