i can not find any EPG and Chanel List what match als my DVB-C Chanels. I have Kabel Unitymedia and 376 TV-Stations. I try all program guides but non does not match. Please Help details in the screenshots for all program guides:
The simple (and ugly) truth is that you have to do the mapping yourself. Just pick one that holds all the programs you need.
Then check the checkboxes in front of the channels you want to have inside of plex and map them to the right content (select the right one from the slightly cryptic dropdown).
I’ve already tried, But this is too complicated. It takes to too long.Each Change the EPG is reloaded. This is not end-user usable. Many of the EPG channels are simply wrong and different. Then I sit here for months… we can fix the EPG Chandel List for all German Unity Meida Cabel User in NRW? Why so much is so wrong? Where do the wrong data come from? This must be fix…
It’s even worser on European Sat-TV
I have over 1000 Channels - ok, “only” about 150 are really needed.
It’s also ok if i have to do the Mapping myself, but there are several huge problems to start:
1st: i find no program guide which contains all the channels i need. - For example I live in an Area where i can get legally a austrian and a swiss subscription and also german sky. My enigma2 Box decrypts them without any problem - but i cant find a List with ORF1HD, Sky Cinema HD and SRF1HD included. All Channels there, but listed in different guides
2nd: as SingleServingSociety said: the dropdown is cryptic as hell. And why is ist not in an alphabetical order? And maybe searchable?
Here the DVR—Unity Media NRW GmbH (Digital) - Digital Chanel list for the Top TV Station in Germnay with the right EPG. The red in the Excel are total wrong. Onlye 56 of 376 TV Station.
What is the right EPG 244 TOGGO Plus it is one of the new Sender ( New TV Station with out any Epg ) i cant find the EPG I HAVE CHECK ALL EPG CHANEL.

Did you tried in the Plex DVR setup with Land: Austria and Zip Code: 1010 -> Provider Austria Telekom
There is ORF1 HD and a lot of SKY (e.g. Sky Cinema HD) channels. I think SRF1 HD is also inclueded

The Gracenote channel list in Plex DVR EPG is not complete. You do not have e.g. “Sky Cinema Family HD”. But in Telekom Entertain it is available. Plex/Gracenote change from time to time the list and adding more channels. E.g.: 2 month ago there was no “Zee One HD” EPG available. Now we have it

With the result the Best Match and Most EPG has Unity Media NRW GmbH (Digital) Digital. I Think this ist the right, but the EPG Chanel TV Station are so wrong.This is not end-user usable.
@plexip: How you use encrypted TV STation like SKY or RTL HD with Plex?
I have my cards in my VU+ Ultimo 4k - this one has 2 CI Slots (also working with CI+) and for some systems i can also use the 2 internal cardreaders.
And i use the PlexApi Plugin by @andyblac1974 to use it with Plex:

If xmltv is not working as expected or if the information given is not satisfying I will simply have to wait for Gracenote to change and adjust. I believe I will survive.
Thanks. Bringing me back to my question of how to change the provider or list that is used. Regarding the xmltv file. Does it have to be http downloadable or can/must it be on the local filesystem?
I have a similar problem, in my case with Unitymedia Hessen.
As a result, TV and radio stations are merged and channel numbers assigned twice. Anybody else experiencing this behaviour?

I have also problem with the EPG (Switzerland UPC) i have channels that i can’t find in the list oft he EPG’s and when i don’t have a EPG then i don’t see the channel in Plex. What ist he quick fix when i have a channel and no EPG, what i must do that i have the channel also on Plex?
