I have a channel that I receive (WYCN from Boston) and when I go into Manage Channels I can see the channel but there is no corresponding channel to select for the guide in the drop down. There’s tons of channels to choose from, including ones I’m not receiving and I’m wondering how that list is generated and how I could add this channel as it’s one of the major networks (NBC). Any ideas?
I believe the EPG info is based on your zip code. You could try a different but nearby zipcode to see if you get a better guide for what you’re picking up.
Good point - where would I enter that? I don’t see a place in my Plex account besides the billing address that has a zip code.
In the web app, got to Settings, scroll down (on the left) to Manage and click on Live TV / DVR
Then you’ll need to delete your current DVR (maybe make note of your currently scheduled recordings beforehand to set them up again after), and then add it back, this time with a different zip code so Plex will then download new EPG data.
The seemed to resolve the issue. Too bad you can’t set that by tuner. I live in an area between 4 different television markets and I had to play with the zip code that gave me most of what I could receive but not all.
