Detected DVR Channels Either Not Found or Mismatched Within Plex

I live in a unique area between Baltimore and Philadelphia which means I can get channels from both major cities and even some from Washington, DC. Some channels that I get like Baltimore’s WMAR channel 2 actually match up with a different different channel 2 out of Wilmington, DE (KJWPDT) within plex I’m assuming due to proximity. It would be nice to be able to pick between the two when assigning them in plex so I could get accurate guide data. My only option is to pick the Wilmington, DE channel to “enable” the channel for viewing.

Some channels from the Washington, DC area are also picked up with my antenna, but only some of the DC area channels can be matched within plex. Examples channels that are missing are Channel 50 DCW and Channel 4 WRC. Can those be added for my area?

Bueller? Is this a bug someone is working on or does anyone have any suggestions?

Other people in this situation have picked a zip code between the two markets rather than their own to get more EPG data. You might try this.

Thanks, this did help get me some better results. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that in the first place. It’s does not fix all of my issues, but it does at least fix my issue with channel 2. There are still channels that should be available in my area that are not, but I can live with this.

It would be nice if there was a way to submit channels available for certain zip codes so that they could be added to the guide data. This is how it works in the Tablo world.

Turns out there is such a thing even though it took a lot of digging to actually find it:
