When I go to edit my channel lineup, I see my scanned channels correctly appearing in the list.
What’s unusual is that at the top of this list I see a bunch more channels that don’t have channel numbers.
Server Version#: 1.23.1.4571 (Ubuntu)
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.57.4
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun DUAL (HDHR3-US)
Guide/Lineup name: Los Angeles OTA
Using XMLTV?: no
Channel number/Name: Everything below 2.1 (see screenshot)
A little more info.
A rescan didn’t remove these blank entries.
So, for kicks, I enabled two of them just to see what would happen: KVMDDT and KJLAD10.
Both were then added to my channel guide with channel numbers:
KVMDDT 31.1
KJLAD10 57.10
However, when I try to tune either of them, I get “Playback Error: Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.”
No big deal, I thought, I’ll just remove these two channels from the guide.
But now I can’t. Neither 31.1 or 57.10 show up at all in the “channel matching” dialog box. I can’t un-check their checkboxes because they’re not listed there. However they do show up in the grid programming guide.
They’re ghost channels!
So uh…is this forum really the official way to get support for Plex?
21 days with no replies, and the threat of an auto-lock after 3 months of silence?
There’s got to be a better way to handle incoming requests
