Channel variance between web player and Android, Roku

Server Version#: 1.18.8.2527
Player Version#: multiple
Tuner Make/Model: xteve
Guide/Lineup name:
Using XMLTV?: yes
Channel number/Name:

Simply put, I have around 400 channels in my tuner and enabled in the plex DVR settings.

I can See all of them in the Web player guide.

I only ever see a small fraction of channels in guide or now playing in other clients like Android and Roku.

The small fraction I see appears to be consistent between the Android and Roku devices.

Suggestions?
Does this seem more server side, database, the clients?

There may be a difference in behaviour if there are no airings

An example i just looked into for xmltv - was for when the guide data has loads of gaps and overlaps in the schedules and what gets seen in Plex Web and Android is different

So it could be just no airings and the behavior is different

To investigate, if you believe there are no oddities in the xmltv file, I would need the Plex Media Server EPG database and xmltv file and exactly what is different in the grid and which channels and time period and some screen captures

EPG database is in the Databases folder in the application data area with filenames starting with tv.plex - there would be 3 files

Thanks for responding. I’ll take another look at the XMLTV file first. And maybe peak at the DB myself. Any good tools for looking at the database files on windows? Are they sqllite?

I tend to use SQLiteStudio

Looks like my issue had to do with EPG categories. I made each channel part of the “series” category and now plex is happy!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad it is fixed.
