I continue to get this error: “PlexConnect - No response from Plex Media Server” on my television screen when attempting to watch content from the MSNBC channel, and other channels as well.
In terminal, I see "PlexAPI: No Response from Plex Media Server" and "PlexAPI: We failed to reach a server. Reason: Internal Server Error"
When I first setup Plex on my ATV3 a week ago, I was able to access this content. Also, the USTVNOW plugin has quit entirely on me, returning either the message above or simply “Trailers is unavailable.” I’ve done everything I can think of, even completely removed Plex everything from my computer and then reinstalled and configured - same errors. I’ve been trying to figure this out for the last 15 hours. Please, give me some guidance.
ATV3 Running 5.2.1
DNS set to 10.0.0.202 (My computer’s IP address)
PlexConnect and PMS installed on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9
So everything works in plexconnect in the other tabs (library, myplex, settings) besides these few channels or is it every channel in the channels tab.
I would try to remove pms completely from your macbook even the ~/library/application support/plex media server and rebuild (reinstall) pms. I dont think its plexconnect that is causing your issue since everything else works in all the other tabs.
When you run plexconnect for the first time by typing this in terminal:
Sudo su
Cd /plexconnect
./plexconnect.py
You leave everything default as in you dont change anything in any of the config files anywhere besides copying your cert over from the old plexconnect you had installed prior correct?
How old is the os on the mac. Any firewalls, virus protection or new software installed recently? Do you live in the UK and are dealing with this by any chance?
OSX 10.9 Fully updated. No firewalls or virus protection. No new software in the last week. I am not in the UK - and all this was working for me 3 days ago.
Sign into myplex using this http://10.0.0.202:32400/web then restart plexconnect. After that if it doesnt work I would reboot your atv, macbook pro, ISP, router. Afer that I would have to say something is either wrong with your router, os or isp since you have checked plexconnect and pms to make sure they are not the issue. I doubt your atv went bad.
You should be able to sign into myplex from that otherwise something is wrong with your pms or os blocking your from accessing your pms.
