Chapter support - when can we expect it on Xbox One?

Is it even being worked on? Should those of us that desire chapter support buy an Apple TV?

Chapter support works now, but you have to get to it a specific way. If you play from the home page or library page it won’t work. You’ve got to go to the pre-play page for the video and click the play symbol. Then if you use the up button on the directional keypad it’ll skip to the next chapter rather than a 10 minute skip.

Really? That’s pretty random, how did you figure that out? Does the down button on the directional pad take you back a chapter?

Why wouldn’t they enable chapter skipping regardless of the way you started to play the video?

Anyway, thanks for the information. I’ll give it a try.

Did some testing and confirm that the up and down “buttons” on the Dpad skip forward and back. It also appears to work regardless of how you start playing the video. I can select play from the pre-play screen, I can press the play button on the remote from the poster view screen, etc.

This also works on the media remote’s “dpad” but the next and previous buttons at the bottom of the remote do nothing. It would seem logical to have the dedicated buttons on the remote map to chapter skip forward and back, but…

Ah, great! That’s good to know.

Yes, using the dedicated buttons would be nice. It’s possible those are dedicated to something else like 30-second skip, or maybe there’s plans to use it for something else in the future.
