This started about three weeks ago but my recordings have audio problems where it sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks. Not sure how else to describe it. Only happens during commercials. Also, happens during LiveTV. When it happens during LiveTV the only way to recover is to reboot the Nvidia Shield. Just stopping playback and returning to LiveTV does not usually work.
Suggestions?
I see the same issue… I run my server on a QNAP NAS, and use Nvidia Shields for playback. I don’t know what logs / other diagnostic info would be helpful in uncovering the problem, but it seems to be an encoding issue since it only occurs during commercials.
If I let it play long enough for the show to come back on, it usually resolves itself at the end of the commercials.
It occurs most commercial breaks, but not *every" commercial.
I have Xfinity/Comcast for TV, and use an HD HomeRun (the 3-channel version) device as my tuner.
Let me know what logs would be helpful.
Our symptoms match, it only occurs on commercials. I have given up on Plex for live TV for now and have switched back to MythTV.
