Chipmunk commercials Issue with Android 8.16 on Nvidia Shield

Latest public server with hdhomerun Primes.

I have a problem during commercials (only on certain commercials, I having a feeling it changes something like the audio or video resolution) the audio will sound like chipsmonks and then clear up after that commercial is over. It looks like a buffer but its not, it clears up every time after the commercial.

This YouTube video which I just made this evening will show you that the commercials are chipmunks but it clears up as soon as it either hits a commercial it likes or back to the show.

If any Plex employee has a hdhomerun prime, you can replicate this issue fairly easily by playing a 1080i Channel for about 30 minutes or less. Happens on Discovery and FYI Channel the quickest due to the commercials they use.

I don’t have a DVR myself but I will ask our QA guys to check those channels.

I tested this on the Mi box s as well and it buffers for about 10 seconds on the same commercials before continuing but it doesn’t do the Chipmunks voices.

is it possible to get the android app logs right after it happens. Been asking folks but none have been able to repro.
