I gave it a try on a fresh Chrome install in Windows 8 and didn't experience the issue. If you open up the web inspector (ctrl + alt + i), do you see any errors in the console when trying to go fullscreen? Are you using the Flash player or HTML player (check if experimental is checked in Settings > Web > Player)?
Because my plex server is on a dedicate machine i had created a sub domain so it can redirect to the plex web. when i use the subdomain to connect to web the button it isnt working but when i user the ip:32400 is working.
When i connect with chrome to plex web like http://plex.my-domainthe full screen button isnt working. When i connect like http://ip:32400 the button is working.
In firefox the full screen button is working in both ways
I also have this issue however it seems to work intermittently i have been unable to determine why
it is annoying and I really hate having to use explorer which does work
I’d like to say that I have the exact same problem, Stealth Domain Redirect from Plex.mydomain.com to my.plex.ip:32400, and the full screen “arrows” in the top right corner are completely dead, both on Win10 Chrome and Mobile Chrome. Accessing the IP:32400 makes it work, but it’s just a pain! PLEASE FIX IT!!!
Same issue here. Works when directing calls to IP:PORT but not going to domain/sub-domain. This is pretty irritating as almost all of my users including myself use my sub-domain.
When I turn off my DNS URL redirect mask/cloaking (hides the redirect and only shows the “user” the entered URL) the full-screen works. So the issue is present for me ONLY when using my Plex sub-domain without a visible redirect to the IP:PORT.
plex.domain.com —>> Hidden Redirect to IP:PORT —>>> Does not work plex.domain.com —>> Visible Redirect to IP:PORT ---->>> WORKS
Direct connection to IP:PORT —>>> WORKS
Did you get a response? I’m experiencing the same issue and have confirmed the difference is related to my method of connection (redirect vs IP/port). I am running the latest beta release as of 11/22/2018.
PMS Version 1.14.0.5468
Web Client Version 3.69.1
Firefox 63.0.3 (32bit)
Nope, never did get any responses on this issue. It still persists but fortunately nobody has really complained about it. So it has pretty much just been pushed to the back burner as an issue “that might get fixed later”. Currently running a newer version of PMS as well. If I am forced to use the web client I usually just press F11 to force Chrome to go full screen. That seems to work well.
