Not used my Chromecast in a while, so when I plugged it in, it did a mandatory update.
I have an original model, but it still works fine. Just not 1080p.
First tried to cast from my android phone, but just stayed on the loading picture.
I then tried the server page and web page. Server page has the cast button available, but only shows my phone. Web version is not selectable at all.
I have tested the Chromecast with other things and it is still working.
Last thing was to mess with settings on Chromecast and in app. Nothing.
Only message that has popped up a few times is this “is unable to cast to unknown securely, and insecure connections are not permitted.” .
The only thing I can assume is that the update on the Chromecast updated the plex app inside and it is not working.
The app does seem to open in the Chromecast and wait for a stream, but nothing will connect to it.
