Chromecast not working

Chromecast is not working anymore, it just comes up with an error. But if I cast my google chrome window on pc, it works perfectly. But when im casting from PLEX, it wont do it. Can we get a fix for this in the next update?

Same issue here!
Worked fine yesterday but today it just throws an error message on the Chromecast screen saying something went wrong. However, casting other apps from the same device works fine.

Same here on the ‘old’ app on Android. The new Plex app on iOS is still able to cast though.

Happening to me as well with 3 older Chromecasts (gen 1, gen 2, OG Ultra pre-Google tv stuff).

I have the same issue. All other apps cast just fine, the Plex app (both iPhone and Android) can’t. The screen just flickers on newer chromecast, on the older it says “something went wrong”.

Just to report I have the same, was working find yesterday before updating to latest release.

App on iPhone, and chrome browser on Mac both fail with failed to cast. All other apps and browser tabs cast fine.

Same problem. Can’t cast to my TV - I get the message “Unable to connect”. The problem is ONLY with Plex - all other apps work - and it doesn’t matter what device you use (phone, tablet, laptop, desktop), none of them connect.

Same problem here with different Chromecast Generations. Yesterday it was working, today it isn’t.
Casting from the old app and from the webinterface doesn’t. It does work with the new plex app though.

Also with old chromecasts. Doesn’t work via browser either. Browser can cast youtube.

Tried to downgrade to PlexMediaServer-1.41.5.9522-a96edc606 no luck.

for me its fixed now, living in the netherlands i think just a few minutes ago. its was not working the whole day

Casting works now but STOP CAST dont work. I have to force it to stop through google home app

Cannot cast from iphone to vizio tv. That means I cannot use plex!
