Client using indirect access when on the same machine as the server, and wants me to Pay

Server Version#:1.42.2.10156
Player Version#:4.152.0
Recently updated to 1.42.2.10156 on a Windows 10 machine. Since the update which happened Last Night I can’t play anything on the host machine using the https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ web-inteface (4.152.0) but I can if I go through the Localhost web-interface (4.147.1)

If I try to watch something I’m told I need to have a “Remote Watch Pass” costing $3.00AUD / Month. Other devices on the home network appear unaffected.

I did see a chrome notification that Plex.tv wanted to detect devices on my network but I disallowed it.

Then there is no wonder why the plex web app (which has been loaded from app.plex.tv) has now trouble communicating directly with your plex server on your local network.

Enter the settings of Chrome - Privacy & Security - Site Settings
if app.plex.tv is not listed there, click on “View Permissions and data stored across sites”
use the search box to filter for plex.tv
Click on app.plex.tv
scroll down and set “Local network access” to “Allow”.

Thank you Otto, that fixed it.

I thought that the problem was introduced with the update to 1.42.2.10156 but I realise now that it was brought about by an update to the Chrome Browser:
