Got new laptop added plex server unable to play movies remote watch pass pops up, not getting same message on old laptop. Why is this occurring on same home network?

In new versions of various Web browsers, e.g. Chrome and other browsers based on Chromium such as Edge, there is a new setting that controls web sites’ access to devices in the local network. Also check that the network is private, not public.

Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Properties (Win10, Win11 should be similar)

When Windows connects to a new network it defaults to public. This isolates the PC from other devices on the same network. Good if you’re in a coffee shop. Bad if you’re at home.
