i’ve created my account on Apr 8, 2022, i’ve read that users should be able to download videos to watch them offline but in my case they cant download it…
what could the problem be? is there a way to fix it or they are forced to but plex pass?

From which apps are your friends (or yourself) trying to download media to their Plex apps?
This should only be available for the mobile apps (Plex for iOS / Android mobile) and the desktop app (Plex for Windows/Linux/Mac).
iOS and Android, none on pc
Are you aware when they created their accounts? The „grandfathering“ should work if you had already shared with them before the feature was restricted to Plex Pass users.
that’s it then. I thought that, since i created the media server and bought plex pass before the restriction, every user would be able to download anyway… but my users joined plex way after the restriction
