Server Version#: 1.22.3.4523
Player Version#: 1.31.1.2262-74fdc6b7
I recently updated all the metadata on my movie library.
Immediatly after that update my movie collections would not display under the collections tab. Specifically, what was displayed under the collections tab looked EXACTLY the same as what was displayed under the Library tab.
My other Collections work fine: TV, Stand-Up Comedy, etc.
When I used the browser version of media player the movie collections displayed fine. My Roku also displays the collection fine. And my Samsung smart TV also displays the collections fine.
I then reinstalled media player for windows 10 and it is still not working.
I think the page DOES update. For example, if I go from Playlist to Collections it shows the same display as Library. If it were NOT updating it would show the same content as Playlist.
I exited the app. Restarted it. Went to Movies. Switched back and forth between the Recommended, Library, Collections, and Playlist tabs. Leaving the app running, I then uploaded the log files.
@Comarre still looking. I was curious when you uninstalled did you also delete the Plex folder in appdata %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex (not the server folder there)
The settings in the app and some caches. ( you can always back it up by just placing it someplace else then when it relaunches it will create a new one.) if ti does not help and the issue remains just close app then put the old one back and launch again.
it will Restore Defaults, the settings of the app to default, like Play Theme music, Quality settings will reset. It will ask you which server and libraries you want to pin and you will need to reorder them if you did something specific. If you have setting sync turned on then it will reset the settings of the Web app as well to match. To be clear I am talking only about the settings of the app, those 4 groups of settings you see in screenshot (General, Quality, Debug, Player), not your server settings. (Your downloads if you have any should remain)
If you remove the Plex folder then it will start up as if you installed it for the first time. This will remove downloads as they are stored in that folder.
I personally suggest just hitting restore defaults.
