My library and collections are showing the EXACT same thing. Meaning, my library is acting as it should, but my collections is an exact mirror of my library, even the filters.
Got a fix?
Reset customizations in Plex Web
Settings > Plex Web > General > Reset Customization

I tried mimicking my movie library where the collections are fine, but only seems to happen in this library.
There’s a setting on the Advanced page when editing the library. Make sure it isn’t set to ‘1’:
As it says, changing the setting won’t affect existing collections. So, once you make the change, you will have to delete the existing collections. I think, if you Scan Library Files, it will create new collections based on that setting.
Is this just a bug? Because I don’t use automatic collections. I have it disabled. I think you’re misunderstanding my situation here. Those aren’t 1 movie collections. Look at the collections page, it’s EXACTLY how the library is supposed to look.
I had this exact issue, and the only fix was to go to Plex Web > Settings > Debug > Restore Defaults, which resets all your Plex web settings. Hopefully that isn’t too disruptive, your media and server settings should stay the same I believe.
(Side note, one hell of an organised wrestling library there, you do that all by hand?!)

Thanks for the tip, I’ll give it a try. and for the most part yes. I did rip a lot of them myself. Thank god The MovieDB had a pretty good handle on all of them.

I had the very same problem which occurred yesterday. Using Plex for Mac, the Collections tab show the exact view as my Library tab. Using the Plex web interface though, the Collection tab wasn’t affected; so I assumed it must be a Plex for Mac bug. It just happened out of the blue.
Thanks for your suggestion, it solved the problem. The Collections tab was restored to as before, and all my settings were kept.

I had the same issue my collections tab is same as library tab. If I reset do I loose my collections organization and posters edited.

Nope – nothing is lost but the customization of the client app. In this case… Plex Web.
After resetting, you’ll need to reorganize (pin/order) the libraries in the sidebar menu.
