I’m experiencing an issue in my Plex server currently whereby I have the same episode of a TV show with B&W and Colour versions. As Plex is taking the episode number from the filename, it’s decided to double up the episode in the episode screen.
From my research if this was a film, I’d be able to use a ‘Split Apart’ function to make these two separate items, but this being an TV episode I don’t think this is possible in the same way.
I’m not sure if there is a solution to this, but the ability designate an episode as B&W or Colour and switch between the two in the UI in the same way you can select the resolution would be ideal as a future feature.
Any suggestions on what I can do in the meantime would be appreciated!
You can “split”, but only if you create a totally separate folder structure for the whole show. And then split at the “show” level, not at the “episode” or “season” level.
This is not ideal as the episodes in question only form a part of the season, so I’m assuming there would then be gaps in the season for the ‘colour’ version of the show at the TV show level.
