I have a rather large (in my mind) media library, and I often find myself running low on space. However, I’d really like to keep all my media, just maybe not in the highest quality. I was hoping to have Plex automattically “Optimize” media above a set bitrate when imported into my library, and delete the original once done. I think it’d also be reasonable to do this after an episode is marked as watched. Just something to free up some space, but be resonable by allowing it to be watched later.
I was thinking something similar. I would like to see more filters for the Optimizing section. For example, only optimize 1080p or higher content, or h265, etc. I am not looking to delete content though, so that should be an option. I am just looking for easier or less transcoding.
