So my library is set to hide items which are in collections.
‘IMDB 250’ collection’s Mode is set to ‘Hide collection’.
‘Harry Potter’ collection’s Mode is set to ‘Hide items in this collection’.
‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ is in both collections. And it’s not being hidden from the default view.
What I expect is it to be hidden, because ‘IMDB 250’ is meant to be lowest priority hidden collection.
How it behaves is ‘IMDB 250’ is overriding everything and forcing everything included in it to be shown.
Not a db issue, not dependent on client, everything else is triple checked.
This is quite simple to replicate. So I suppose it’s just the way Plex handles set semantics, right?
Plex prioritizes which items to be displayed over hiding them. This has been discussed for some time, there’s even a feature suggestion to switch that priority
