“Albums” were previously “Playlists,” and they appeared on the Playlists page. They are made either by you manually adding images to an album, or by creating a Smart Playlist using filters (just like you would do with movies or music).
Plex, for some as-yet-unrevealed reason, decided to remove Photo Playlists from the Playlists page, and rename them to Albums. I’ve been trying to get them to undo this, but so far it falls on deaf ears. I can’t even get an explanation as to why they did it.
