Connect CCcam decoder to PLEX

Good morning. I present my query.

I am thinking of incorporating television channels into my PLEX server so that I can watch them directly from the platform.

I have searched many tutorials on Youtube, and I have read the recommendations regarding USB digital tuners that you have published here (Supported DVR Tuners and Antennas | Plex Support)

What happens is that I seek to do something more complex.

I want to buy a satellite decoder, and install a cccam list, to be able to see all the public and private channels; and in turn, I want to connect said decoder to my PC, to be able to watch said channels from PLEX.

The problem is that I haven’t found anything that solves my problem. I have found how to do each thing, but separately, but nothing that resolves my doubt about how to do an “all in one”.

Does anyone know how to do it, or has done it before?

Thank you very much.

Use TVheadend and then link TVheadend to Plex via xTeVe.

You don’t want both xTeve and tvHeadend, just one or the other. xTeve will talk directly with PMS. tvHeadend should have a shim, like tvhProxy, to connect to PMS.

Having said that, @sergiossct_gmail_com will have a couple of problems. One is an EPG. tvHeadend does apparently work with a pile of sat tuners, but it does have a rather significant learning curve.

xTeVe works just fine with TVheadend.

EPG is no problem with TVheadend.

First of all, I would like to ask you. Is it necessary to have Plex Pass to be able to play the television channels?

I ask this because while waiting to see if someone could help me, I tried xTeVe, and searching the internet, I found several m3u lists of free public channels to try, and if I play them on other platforms like VLC, it works perfectly; instead, if I try to play the channels in PLEX, I get an error that says: “Could not tune to the channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.”

You need a Plex Pass to use the DVR but for general playback I don’t think so. I have a Pass on my other account so I wouldn’t exactly know what features are behind it but as far as I can tell it’s to enable DVR features +more.

It depends on the stream why it would be giving you a playback error. Would be just guessing without looking at the logs.

All that said if you get TVheadend working with your CCcam I will help you pipe the streams to Plex using xTeVe and TVheadend.

tvheadend is for windows?

Linux.

Well, i can not

You might be able to run it in Windows using WSL.
