Hello,
Is there a way I can setup Plex remotely?
I had to reinstall Plex on my NAS, and now I’m running into the same problem as before, where I can’t connect to Plex because there is no Browser on the Synology NAS and it won’t allow me to set it up remotely.
Thanks
You must SSH-tunnel to setup PMS to any system which is remote.
Scroll down to On a Different Network

Even when I’m in the same Local network as the NAS?
You can access Plex on your local network using the Synology’s IP address and the Plex server’s port. Just enter it into the address bar of your browser. Example: 192.168.1.100:32400

Your OP was whether or not you can setup Plex remotely.
You can do so when remote, if you SSH-tunnel to it.
If it is on the same LAN subnet as you, simply open it directly in the browser http://ip.addr.of.syno:3240/web

That does not work.
I connected to a laptop from the same local network as the plex using screen sharing (teamviewer) and it could not find the server even though it loads the webpage from the local network IP address.
I had to do the whole SSH thing again.
