Connection to PMS lost (Shield TV)

Hi, I’ve been searching and searching, without answer to my specific problem, so hopefully I can find some answers. - I Think my issue may be down to the recent Nvidia Shield TV Update…

The error I’m getting is “playback has stopped because the connection to the plex media server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry.”

Now what I don’t quite understand is I’m running both plex, and PMS on the shield TV. The libraries are stored on a Network NAS and everything is wired.

Has any one else encountered this issue? Prior to the update Ive had very little problems, none related to this though.

It also doesn’t seem to be handling transcoding too well and sometimes I’m having to choose a lower quality to get the audio to play. All of which are pretty standard files.

I wish I had an answer for you because we’ve noticed the same thing and it happens sporadically. Your setup is pretty much just like ours and since the app and PMS are all on the same Shield TV, it just doesn’t make sense.

Same here, I don’t know how to get the attention of the development team: I’ve submitted logs onto the forum but there has been no response…

Are these still happening ? There was evidence of low memory issues on the nVidia Shield leading to processes being killed - would like to know if these failures are still arising and would like to see fresh logs with debug enabled and indication as to when the connection was lost
