Connexion problem

Server Version#: 1.18.5.2309-f5213a238
Player Version#: FireFox 76.0.1 / Apple TV Latest version

Hi everyone !

I use Plex Media Server on a Synology NAS (latest version updated), and I use it on Apple TV.

Until there, everything is going right.

But if I want to manage my libraries, when I’m supposed to connect to my account, I get that message : an error occured while registering.

I’m sure of my login / Password, because I could create a topic on that forum

Here are the steps I use to do :

I connect on my Synology NAS 192.168.1.10:5000
I click on the Plex Media Server icon, which redirects me to http://192.168.1.10:32400/web/index.html, and then to https://app.plex.tv/auth/#!?clientID= etc.
Here my mail adress and password are asked.

I fill them, and I get my error message.

The only solution I have to solve this until now is to stop the server on the NAS and restart it.

Then I can login to Plex Server.

Does someone have the same problem ?

Thank you for your help !

Kind regards

Thank you, that was a fast reply !

I did what you told me, I had to reclaim the server, I was asked to confirm the 6 libraries I already had before, but now the servers appears unavailable.

I restarted the server once, and still have the same problem.

I removed the new xml file which was created, renamed the Preferences.xml.old

file in Preferences.xml and I have my libraries back.

I wonder if I have a cookies problem here finally, because it works right now, but if I close FireFox, the next time I’ll have to connect, it’ll fail. It’s a strange issue

Hi,

I tried with Chrome too, same problem.

What I did in my NAS network configuration was to configure it with DHCP, with an IP reservation on my router, because I often had the gateway disapeared, with no reasons, after some days.

Since my network configuration is stable, the problem seems to be solved !

Thank you for your help and have a nice day !
