Constant Buffering and then Playback Error

Player Version#: idk, hisense smart tv

Videos are buffering for several minutes, and if I let them continue we get a playback error message. I need to skip back/forward or leave the video and restart it (changes which one works). This happens multiple times, for ecample the first half of a 45 minutes show played fine and then then it would buffer every 5 or so minutes.

We lowered the quality of the playback in the tv app, I made sure nothing else was using up the server’s CPU, I tried the verbose logs to check the transcoding speed and sometimes it was 0 but usually over 10

Now I don’t know if there’s anything I can try besides plugging the tv directly into the router, or plug a chromecast into my smart tv. I tried to go through the various troubleshooting pages, but I only know a little of what I’m doing so I may have missed several things I should be trying
