Hi just a discussion about Plex user experience
Every time I try and expect something to work in PLEX it does NOT work!
Does anyone have this issue or is it just me LOL
I’ve accumulated 3 years of frustration with the paid features – particularly Live TV/DVR and the Android App. The Android app has been an abomination for a year now. One crappy release after another. And Plex goes through 6 month periods where they constantly break Live TV/DVR and ignore user posts about it for weeks/months. When I go to the living room to watch, my thought is always “How’s it not going to work today?”
After I was banned for complaining too much earlier this year, I decided to run Jellyfin in parallel on the same library folders and I started mostly using Jellyfin. The experience was so much better and when Plex kept getting worse, I finally uninstalled the Plex Server and all my clients.
Every month or two, I try installing Plex again to try out the DVR again. At the moment, other than when the EPG provider basically died in 2018, Live TV/DVR is currently the worst I’ve ever seen it.
So, @woboogie, you are definitely not alone and I’m pretty sure that there are a lot of TV/DVR users that would say the same as me.
