Continue Interrupted Scan to download missing Metadata?

Using the latest server, I was adding in several hundred items. It added them all and then went back to the start to begin matching and downloading metadata for each item. About halfway through the server went offline and it didn’t finish matching the rest of the items. I understand I can redownload the metadata for the entire library or select each file and then refresh metadata for them individually but those are very cumbersome solutions.

Is there any way to have plex attempt to match only the items that are unmatched in the library to complete the interrupted scan? Perhaps one of the tasks in the maintenance period?

plex should do that automatically during the maintenance period, however it does it on rolling basis, to depending library size, it may take awhile.

that said, in plex web, there should be an ‘unmatched’ filter drop down that you can select, then you can check the un matched items and use the 3 dot menu to ‘refresh metadata’ on them.

if that doesn’t work, then at least you can use the context menu of each to ‘match’ or ‘fix match’ them.

simply rescanning the whole server/library may trigger to match/refresh any missing metadata too.
