"On Deck" functioning the same as "Continue Watching"

Server Version#: Version 1.19.3.2764
Player Version#: Version 4.30.2

On all of my devices (Plex Web, Roku, X-Box One), the “On Deck” feature for TV shows is only functioning the same as “Continue Watching”. If I stop an episode mid-way, that episode will appear in my “On Deck”. Once I’ve finished the episode, the show disappears entirely from “On Deck” thereby making it only performing the exact same function as “Continue Watching”. Shouldn’t it be listing the next episode in the series?

Note: The “On Deck” screen that appears immediately after an episode ends with a countdown clock to the next episode works fine, this is just the tray for the Home screen and Recommended screen within the TV library.

Thanks

This is intentional. Continue Watching will show anything that is in progress. OnDeck will show the next TV show episode that needs to be watched. This includes in progress items, so yes in progress episodes will be shown twice.

This MUST be done on the Roku:

Manage your home manually.
Put a Movie in progress - so it shows in Continue Watching.
Remove Continue Watching from Home.
Go to the Movie Library
Go to the Recommended Tab
Find Continue Watching - add it to Home, but select to ONLY add Movies.

No more Doubles.
On Deck has the Shows - and you an clearly see which ones are in progress.
Continue Watching ONLY shows the Movies in progress…

Pure Freaking Genius.
Let’s hope the rest of Plex gets there - eventually.
