Getting the error “conversion failed the transcoder exited due to an error” when trying to play pretty much anything. Happening even on direct stream files.

KB4345421 did indeed pop up for me after manually searching for updates. Got it installed, rebooted, and so far so good! I’ll check back in after a couple hours and update if it stays stable.

Still having the same problem after update.
Funny thing is that if I use XPlay app from LG it streams just fine from the same server… 
The windows update also assumes you are running Win10 1803. I am still running 1709 and the issue persists.

Hi. I update my Windows 10 whit the KB4345421. I can steam whitout problem but, on sync, its another story. he crash everytime.

2016 Server with w10 client:
KB4345421 on client made no issue, didn’t think it would.
KB4345418 on server fixed it
I’m running fully updated client and server.
Transcoder is constantly crashing now.
Rebooting sometimes fixes it. Usually it doesn’t.
Please help.
Im still seeing the issue on Windows 2012 R2, all updates installed, pretty much out of ideas of what to do now.
I installed the latest July 18 MS Hotfix for 1709 instead of the 1803 mentioned above.
So far I haven’t had the issue again.
THis issue may be bigger than just win10. Although its a related system.
I too started having this problem recently when it never existed before. However, the problem is also occurring on my XBox 1 X. While this is a windows architecture, is it running the same updates???
Just to clarify are we saying this is a server side issues or a player side issue???
