The video files will play fine with subtitles off. I think it’s because Plex sees “CODEC: NONE” despite MediaInfo showing S_TEXT/WEBVTT for the subtitles. According to Plex’s support page, embedded WebVTT is supported.

However, it seems like FFmpeg does not support WebVTT as shown here: #5641 (Support WebVTT according to MKV specs) – FFmpeg
Is there something that I can do to get these files to work with subtitles without changing their hashes? I’m already assuming no, but I’m hoping that this topic will at least function as a bug report.
