I’m going insane trying to figure out if I can copy my Plex server data from one WD EX2 Ultra NAS to another. My recordings outgrew my original 8TB Ex2 Ultra so I bought another with 24TB capability. I successfully copied all my media files onto the new NAS, but I want to save untold hours going through thousands of items correcting bad or inappropriate matches and film/TV posters. My solution was to copy the metadata file from one NAS to another identical NAS, but WD tech support insists I can’t do that even though Plex lists at least two articles showing how it can be done. Can anyone tell me how, or if, I can access the hidden Plex files on a WD EX2 Ultra, then copy them to the appropriate place on my new Ultra device? I’d be willing to pay for support if someone really knows how to do this.
