Copying shared-with users from one server to another

I’m working on a clean installation and would like to copy my users (the other accounts I’ve shared the original server with) from the old server to the new server (plugin freeNAS jail with some corruption to non-plugin freeNAS jail). Is there any way to do this?

There is no need to copy the users as such.
All you need to do is to use the same plex account as before.

If you however mean the ‘played’ history of those users (and yourself), you need to either:

• extract the appropriate table from the old database file and import it into the new database https://support.plex.tv/articles/201154527-move-viewstate-ratings-from-one-install-to-another/
• copy the whole database file from the old to the new server

All you need to do is to use the same plex account as before.

I’m thinking the user wants to copy the user sharing rules. This isn’t possible, since it’s a new server. All your users will still be listed when you go to “users” in Plex web, but they won’t have access to the new server. You’ll need to click all the boxes again. Your users won’t need to do anything themselves.
