Hello,
I have 2 RasPlex running 1.6.2.
One is connected on Philips 32PFL3614/12 Television, the other one is on a Samsung UE32D4003BW.
I read a lot of articles speaking about how to easy it is to have the TV remote with Plex but I cannot achieve it on my 2 RasPlex.
I copied the remote.xml in /storage/.plexht/userdata/keymaps and I rebooted but nothing is working.
I also checked my Phulips TV and EasyLink is activated…
I don’t know what I did wrong. Could someone help me ?
Are you saying CEC controls are not working at all or your custom keymaps are not working with Rasplex?
Hello @benjaminwolf
AFAIK nothing is working. I tried without the remote.xml file and with it. None of those tests give a result.
What concerns my Samsung TV, I think it is not CEC compliant but my Philips is.
I’m quite sure I did something wrong but I cannot find what.
Need to check your TV settings to make sure your CEC is enabled. I believe it’s called EasyLink on Phillips. Basic CEC control is enabled by default on Rasplex/OpenPHT 1.6.2. So unless you disabled it in Inputs, it should all be on the TV settings.
The PI is directly connected to the Phillips, yes?
Hello @benjaminwolf
I checked my TV and Easylink is activated.
I’m not really sure about the activation on my RPi. I will check again later and give a feedback.
Yes, this is a direct HDMI link between my TV and the RPi, no switch in between .

I suspect maybe your HDMI cable is not 1.4? Do you have another one you’re sure is properly rated that you could swap it with? Had this same problem with a user of mine. I fixed the issue by swapping their HDMI with an Amazon Basics one.

Hmmmm… This is a really goooooood question… I have no idea about the version of my cable and I don’t think the information stay on it. I’ll check later and if I’m not sure, I will buy a new 1.4 to be sure.
I’ll keep you informed.
@benjaminwolf
You were partially right… I bought a new cable and now, when the RaspBerry boot, I get a message saying that the TV is connected. Also, I noticed that the volume of the TV does not show the usual picture on the screen.
But… Nothing else is working…
Edit (08/04/2016):
I was wrong about the volume display on my TV. It was another setting that I changed by error. Please forget the last part of my last intervention.
