Using Plexamp v3.5.0 on iOS with server version 1.24.0.4897. Suddenly I get “Couldn’t start playback” with Random Album Radio. Has worked fine until this server update.
See attached logs… Turned on debug logging and immediately tried to play via PlexAmp… Dumped out the log.
Huh, that’s a weird one. Plexamp isn’t getting back any albums from the server, and no obvious errors on the server. Trying to think of what it might be. Are you accessing as a user other than owner? Not sure why that would make a difference…
Sorry guys, we’ve figured this out. To be a bit mysterious about it, Random Album Radio got incorrectly coupled with a soon-to-be-released feature which will be lit up in the next week, at which point it will start working again. Really sorry about that, but know that it’ll fix itself…
Intriguing. Is that the “on this day” section, or just a coincidence that I first noticed it on Monday this week (with Orgasmatron by Motörhead featured). Either way it’s a nice touch.
My favourite feature in Plexamp! Glad i found this post because I was wrecking my brain over why all of a sudden I couldn’t get it to work anymore. Hope it will be back to its own self soon!
I’ve noticed here lately that my Random Plex Radio keeps giving me an error. I was hoping the latest update would have fixed it but it did not. Any suggestions?
Not sure what your server architecture is, but if it’s one which doesn’t support sonic analysis the issue is known and will be fixed in an upcoming server release.
Any word on when this will be fixed on FreeBSD? I’m still getting this error on the latest available: 1.24.2.4973, running FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p7 on an intel cpu.
