Tried to install Plex app on an Android tv box (Beelink, android 7) - and while the app is running, everytime it asks me to login (via browser and gives me a 4-digit code) - if tells me then to return to the app (which I do) - and then says that it can’t find any servers!!! (running on the same network, etc.). I am stuck and can’t figure it out!

I am a little confused about users - I purchased Plex Pass (for my main account) - but if I want to invite another user (for instance, my son), in order for him to be able to watch on his Mobile phone, he ALSO must have a Plex Pass and pay!? That doesn’t make any sense…

- I have no personal experience with Android boxes. So I can only give you some generic tips:
- the link code is only valid for about a minute. So you must hurry.
- the android box needs to have a working internet connection
- if this android box is running wirelessly, make sure it connects to the same network as your server. (some routers can separate the wireless clients from the ‘wired’ clients and sometimes also the wireless clients from seeing each other. Ensure you don’t have such a configuration activated in your router. [usually called ‘client separation’, ‘AP isolation’ or ‘Guest network’])
- The ‘mobile’ apps can be unlocked in 3 ways:
- by paying a one-time unlock fee of about $5 (only valid for 1 account in any app store)
- by subscribing to Plex Pass (working for all devices which are signed into the plex account which has the Plex Pass)
- by getting invited into a Plex Home of a Plex Pass subscriber (limit: 14 users)
If your son doesn’t have a Plex server of his own, you can invite him into your ‘Plex Home’.
This grants him the right to use the ‘mobile’ apps for free.

- Yes, I was very fast (and it actually validated, no problem) … but went back to app and it was not signed in at all and could not find my home server. What’s weird is that on mobile devices, there is no problem whatsoever.

It is so weird - and again, hit or miss… my son’s Plex Home invite is now working - but ONLY when he logs in through the Chrome-based entry … and NOT through the APP… Huh?
My daughter (who is also on an Android phone and did the exact same thing), cannot log in at all - not on the app and not on the chrome login!
Where is Plex’s customer support???
