Logs available to PM if requested.
The issue is that my server has been starting to randomly crash and I could not see anything in the logs.
If I am watching something from my server, I do not notice until I look at either Tautulli or the Dashboard. Tautulli tends to show it quicker because under the activity section I go from showing that media is being played to it saying “Nothing is currently playing.”
If I check the Tautulli logs I also see these messages:
Failed to access uri endpoint /status/sessions. Request timed out: HTTPConnectionPool(host='192.168.1.49', port=32400): Read timed out. (read timeout=60)
Tautulli Pmsconnect :: Unable to parse XML for get_current_activity: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'getElementsByTagName'.
If I check the actual PMS Dashboard, I will still see activity but after a while all the resource graphs update to show “Unable to load statistic.”
This had happened previously while I was on the latest PMS (beta version). I ended up downgrading to the version mentioned at the beginning of the post and Plex seemed to be good for a bit (that was maybe a week or so ago).
I also used @ChuckPa’s DBRepair tool today as that seemed to have help in the past, but it did not seem to really have any impact.
To the point of the title of this thread. After I grabbed the logs, I looked at the latest PMS Crash report and based on that it looks like there were crash reports uploaded for me. The latest one being today, 3/3 at 21:24 EST (will not be included in the logs I send if asked for as I checked the log folder and file directly, latest in the log is from 3/3 at 21:09 EST).
I am hoping that a ninja or team member (or employee, whoever has access) can see if anything was uploaded that gives any clue as to what is happening. If it is stored by email, it would be the email attached to this account.
Plex had been solid for quite a few years prior to this happening. I feel like that has started to happen in the last year or so. I did open a prior post about this but did not get any feedback on that and ended up letting it close as it seemed to have worked itself out, but that appears to not actually have been the case.
Thanks for any help to get this resolved.
Edit: Adding the link to my post from November 2023: PMS crashes shortly after adding media
I don’t think it is related to adding media as I have not added media since earlier in the day, so that not might have even been the cause in the linked thread. Just wanted to add it just in case.
