I was running PMS on a QNAP NAS (previously a Centos VM). Both the NAS firmware and PMS were updated the same day - PMS to 1.8.4. It seemed to run and initially worked, but a crash took out PMS entirely - no web interface running. After some trial and error, I reverted back to the previous version of PMS, but had the same problem. I could not roll back the NAS firmware, so I put the latest PMS back onto a Centos 7 VM. Same issue occurred. The one common thing was I tried to record a digital audio broadcast (by the National Broadcaster) and PMS/DVR wanted to put this in “TV Shows”. Don’t know if it is related to the lack of video in the recording or not, but it did record a single free-to-air TV show apparently without issue. Really happy with other updates in this version of PMS BTW ! I am using a SiliconDust HomeRun, but suspect that is unrelated.

The fix for crashing when recoding radio channels is now released in Plex Pass beta release 1.9.4
