I love the DVR function of plex and it’s why I’ve bought plex pass. But I’m struggling to get it stable enough to use as my main DVR. I’ve tried to use a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200 and a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD on a Windows 8 machine, in the UK, and both crash when recording a radio program on 732. I’ve checked the crash logs and they’re empty. I’m kind of stuck on how to figure out what’s going on.

The crash logs are empty because crash reports created there are deleted after being processed
So ensure you have debug logging enabled on the server
restart the server to get fresh logs
Wait for next crash
Restart the server and get the logs and attach here

Here are the server logs. It only crashes with this radio station, LBC 732 when it is set to record, and the server crashes once it tries to record.

I already have a bug registered with the development team for crashes when recording radio channels - I suspect this would be the same bug

is there a way of tracking it?

Just an update to let you know that the problem has been reproduced and is now understood and a fix will be worked on

The fix for crashing when recoding radio channels is now released in Plex Pass beta release 1.9.4

- (DVR) Radio channels should no longer crash PMS (#7229)
Second time plex crashes on qnap nas when recording. Not been able tomrecord anything so far. I think i switch to dvblogic for my recordings until this feature is more stable in plex.
Second time plex crashes on qnap nas when recording tv programs TLC. Not been able tomrecord anything so far. I think i switch to dvblogic for my recordings until this feature is more stable in plex. Also in the channel listing not all channels correspond with the build index. So tls is in on my cable channel 26 but this number does nit show up in the listing of programs. So i changed an different station number (67) and connected channel 26 with it.

I have replied to your multiple forum topics asking for diagnostics. Best to switch to one of your other forum threads rather than here
