This issue is back for me on my firestick as of yesterday.
Since yesterday the crashes are back in the Fire-TV 4K Ultras without changing anything on my side. Must be another problem on your side!
Iām still on 10.20.1 and canāt even walk from library to library without a crash.
I have reported the crash again. We slowly released updates to include some of the changes that were reverted seems the one causing the crash is included. (Though changes were made to the reverted changes)
I wish I could reproduce this crash. Can I ask if there is anything specific to your profiles such as, are you disabling all the Plex related content? (Live-TV, Movies & Shows) Or anything else specific you can think of. Maybe using a DNS blocker like Pi hole?
4K Max here. Have not been using Fire Stick recently but can confirm it is crashing now. Canāt get libraries to load using usually foolproof hack of restart server, clear cache, force stop and relaunch. On default app version.
I have disabled all Plex related content. Its just my stuff configured to show.
I am using AdGuard encrypted DNS servers and they block analytics.plex.tv by default. I am good with this because I donāt care to share analytics with anyone, ever.
I unblocked analytics.plex.tv and now the Fire Stick works. Could this really be the issue here? If so that is most unfortunate, to say the least.
Everything is disabled - no Plex services, no DNS blocker, no Pihole - donāt even know what this is. Just own, local content.
I have everything disabled as well, but I do have a pi-hole.
Ok think we might have figured it out then itās likely because you have Live-TV disabled and there was a change specific to FireTV with how we import the channels, so itās likely failing on import due to it being turned off. If anyone would mind enabling Live-TV just to see if the crashing stops? You can obviously turn it off again
We are reverting the change again but I am pretty sure we figured it out this time.
Would anyone who was experiencing the crashes here be able to test this build out of us? It should hopefully solve the crashing issue as it will no longer try to import the channel list if you have disabled the Live TV Plex source.
For me the crashes were gone 1 day after posting here and installing 10.21.0.
It looked like the previous time. Something has been changed on Plex side and made it worst. And then something has been changed on Plex side and made it heal again.
So we reverted the change in 10.21.0 again so it will return in 10.22.0 I just want to confirm the build I shared has solved the crashing before 10.22.0 rolls out I think next week.
Someone else needs to check 10.22. Donāt need/have a Github account.

We want to rollout out these changes ASAP and preferably not break things this time

Crashes are back. As always: Nothing has changed on our side.
Using Plex is no fun anymore.
